John Holland WA Regional Manager, Lindsay Albonico, said PCH is set to take its place as one of the world’s leading paediatric hospitals.

“Our focus throughout design and construction was to achieve the State Government’s vision to build the best possible facility for Western Australian families,” said Mr Albonico.

“John Holland made a commitment to the children and families of Western Australia to deliver a world’s best hospital, and we are immensely proud of what we have achieved.

“Hospitals, and in particular children’s hospitals, are amongst the most technically challenging projects to design and construct.

“We’ve delivered one of the world’s best.”

As the single largest building project ever undertaken by John Holland, achieving practical completion represents a key achievement for the business.

Mr Albonico also acknowledged the effort of the people and businesses for their tireless work on the project.

“Nearly 8000 businesses and thousands of workers were involved in delivering PCH, often in challenging circumstances. The quality of the end result is a tribute to their focus and commitment.”
