Mayors from China visit John Holland

John Holland has showcased its transport expertise to 17 Provincial Mayors from Shandong, China.

The Mayors are in Australia as part of the Urban Renewal and Modernisation Training Program, sponsored by the South Australian Government.

They are visiting various organisations to find out more about transport and urban infrastructure projects in Australia, and spent a day with John Holland to find out more about our rail capabilities in Operations, Maintenance and Concessions.

Each Mayor on the visit is responsible for running a city or county with a population of between 1 million and 10 million, and collectively oversee a population of more than 100 million. Shandong is an eastern Chinese province on the Yellow Sea, located south of Beijing and has been an official sister city of Adelaide since 1986, resulting in a partnership that has encouraged a rich academic and cultural exchange.
