To further gender progress in 2017, John Holland is:
- Addressing gender pay equity.
Gender pay inequity is present in all industries across Australia. John Holland has done a significant amount of work in this area over the past six months and has conducted a gender pay review.
- Enabling flexibility.
John Holland employees have a diverse set of needs in balancing work and personal commitments. Employees require flexibility for different reasons, for example caring for family members, study commitments, travel or transitional arrangements into retirement. At John Holland we meet this need through a range of flexible working practices available to all employees, including part-time and mobile working arrangements such as working from home, a generous paid parental leave scheme, job sharing and annual leave salary packaging.
Diversity & Inclusion Program Manager, Keri Le Page, said diversity means ensuring we treat each other with respect, fairness and equality, to create a better workplace for everyone.
“Providing women in our business with equal access to the right opportunities and working arrangements makes business sense and is a critical part of our existing commitment to giving everyone a fair go, and ensuring our talented people get the support they need to thrive and do their best work," she said.
