Our expertise includes construction of new gas plants and distribution infrastructure, power stations and upgrades to existing plants. We have substantial experience in utilising our in-house expertise to complete all facets of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of HV transmission line projects.
We were the first contractor in Australia to replace Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) on HV transmission lines in a live line situation by transferring the OPGW to the centre of the tower – this ground-breaking practice has since been adopted by the major utilities and competitors in the industry.
Our scope of work and our ability to deliver projects on time and on budget across the most remote locations and extreme conditions is testament to the skill and experience of our project management teams. Backed by a strong internal collaboration model, they are experts at managing the safety, quality and logistical challenges unique to transmission and distribution line construction, with a particular focus on environmental and landowner risks.
Our market leading position in the power generation, transmission line and distribution lines sector is supported by a close and productive relationship with major electricity utilities and suppliers throughout Australia and overseas markets.
We have also delivered a number of smart hydro, wind, solar and waste-to-energy solutions that are able to meet specific quality and quantity requirements to ensure consistent processes and production. These solutions include:
- Construction orientated and led value engineering to meet wind farm cost targets
- Redesign of hydro power outlet facility to reduce capital and operational costs of hydro power generation
- Construction led design process for waste-to-energy that reduces non-process infrastructure (NPI) capital cost and increased net present value (NPV) of project to acceptable bankable feasibility study (BFS) levels.
