John Holland has developed an in-depth, two year program for graduates joining the John Holland business. Our goal is to provide graduates a strategic program offering career development and learning opportunities whilst allowing us to attract, develop and retain graduates.
Graduates will be given the opportunity to rotate through the various areas of the John Holland business, as well as developing their skills in areas such as;
- Estimating
- Quality assurance
- Design
- Safety
- Document control
- General site works
The program also includes several residential events where graduates have the opportunity to listen to their fellow participants' experiences, as well as cementing friendships and networks with other young members of the John Holland team.
Each graduate will also be presented with the opportunity to work with a mentor selected from within the wider John Holland business, and we will provide graduates with significant training, development, evaluation, performance review and career planning opportunities.
As part of the John Holland National Graduate Program, we are also pleased to provide the opportunity for selected graduates to take part in volunteer work through the 'Engineers Without Borders' program.

John Holland offers opportunities for talented Student Engineers to gain valuable hands-on work experience. The positions are available during the summer vacation period, with the potential for part-time positions to work around university schedules.
